The introduction of endoscopes for the diagnosis and treatment of ear and sinus disorders by two pioneers, Dr. Muaaz Tarabichi in the Middle East & Dr. Heinz Stammberger in Europe has revolutionized the field of Ear & Sinus Surgery.
Dr. Muaaz Tarabichi, a board-certified Otolaryngologist, is considered the Father of Endoscopic Ear Surgery. Over the last 30 years, he has spearheaded and established the groundbreaking medical techniques in the field, including the Tarabichi Stitch for Endoscopic Ear Surgery, as well as the Eustachian Tuboplasty techniques known as Endoscopic Trans tympanic Eustachian tube Dilatation.
Dr. Tarabichi & Dr. Stammberger founded TSESI in Dubai with the goal of training the young otolaryngologist to spread the knowledge and expertise and push the surgical frontiers in Endoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Tarabichi is a nationally & internationally recognized leader in Ear & Sinus Surgery with around 100 publications in print.
He is the Founding Board Member of the IWGEES (International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery) & AAOCI (Arab Academy of Otology & Cochlear Implant).
He is also the past chair-elect, International Advisory Board (IAB), American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Foundation.
He is a Member of the Steering Committee for GCIN, Global Cochlear Implant Access Network.
He is also Past Chairman, Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology.
